This 3kw 48V Wind Turbine must be first connected to the 3kw Charge Controller which has 2 jobs, 1) the charge controller changes the output from the Wind Turbine from AC to DC for battery charging to your Battery Bank 2) when the wind speed gets too high the Charge Controller acts as a brake to stop the 3kw Wind Turbine from spinning out of control. When the wind blows our 3kw wind turbine will charge your battery bank in no time at all.

With the addition of the optional Controller and Inverter you could be exporting your excess energy and getting paid for it from the ESB.  ESB must be notified and if you cannot export to the ESB then just install a Break then install a double Pole switch so that you can choose Wind or ESB power.
